and then right after that his human friends show up and invite him to go with them and Nyanko-sensei tells him to go ahead and have fun and all the feeeeeeelings Natsume’s just played shadow tag for the first time ever in his life and now he has actual friends who are human and youkai and they care about him which is an absolute reversal from everything in his life pre-Fujiwaras and he’s beginning to let himself be happy and choosing not to be lonely anymore and I just can’t
